Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Ick. My cousin's SIL was in an accident that closed the Turnpike down yesterday. She slowed a bit to allow someone to merge, and the tractor trailer truck behind her drove right up on top of her. They couldn't get her out until the truck was removed. Turns out, he was driving under a suspended license and had two warrants out for his arrest at the time. She's not in good shape.

I feel awful. I've only met the SIL once, but my cousin's husband's family is the only "in-law" side I really know- warm, wonderful people who take you in right away and treat you like one of their own, even if you're the most distant (or non-existant) relation. Her parents were on an Alaskan cruise and are trying to make it back in time. It's just so sad. Makes me wanna punch stuff.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Thanks, Sail. My cousin called earlier to have me check in on the dog (it happened upstate and they've been at the hospital there). SIL is in a coma, and I guess it looks like they're just trying to keep her stable until her folks can get there.

They're just such nice people, and my heart aches for them. Makes punchy motions at trucker dude in jail.

I know! I just read an article about it online and saw a picture (shudder). I guess the road was merging to one lane for construction. Reminds me why I was so ascared of driving after the accident.

All is well that ends in pizza.

A local resident has a life sized statue of Captain Morgan (of rum fame), with his foot on a keg, out in the fenced-in patio in his front yard. We took a picture today.

Odd thought of the night:

If SPAM is the abbreviation for Spiced Ham, is SPUM the abbreviation for Spiced Rum?

t imagines a bunch of pirates singing

Spum spum spum spum. Lovely spum! Wonderful spum! Spum spu-u-u-u-u-um spum spu-u-u-u-u-um spum. Lovely spum! Lovely spum! Lovely spum! Lovely spum! Lovely spum! Spum spum spum spum!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Oh, Lilty, it's just so horrible. I'm so sorry.
