Askye, this was me. Always irratic until I got into a serious relationship that I thought would involve children. Suddenly, like clockwork.

Fortunately, the steady stayed even when the *steady* didn't.

It's annoying. And eye opening. I would get terrible cramps and things like that, but not every month, sometimes, maybe 8 months out of the year. I'm not exactly regular like clock work, but I don't like this. I'm half way tempted to go back on Depo just to make them go away.

Now that your cycle is more regular, there might be some things you can do ahead of time. Keeping hydrated keeps your blood thinner. If you have a decent idea when it's coming, if you take a dose of aspirin the night before you're due (or for a couple of nights), that can help, too.

It's so awful. When I was a teenager, a couple of times a year I'd have cramps so bad I could puke. Even now, a couple of times a year, I swear I'm coming down with a cold or flu, complete with chills, and everything, and the next day, I get my period. I'm very regular. My cycles are a little short, though.

I was always afraid that there was something wrong with me when I was so irratic. There is something comforting about the predictability of the regularity.

I agree completely with Cindy about preparing. Hydration is everything! I've been doing this cleansing regimen over the last two weeks that has me drinking a gallon of cranberry water every day. My last period was terrifically easy...and I think the water had a lot to do with it.

My period's weird, timeline wise. Mostly not terribly uncomfortable.

I was feeling crampy yesterday but nothing happened so I just chalked it up to generally feeling icky.

There were a few times when I've had cramps so bad I wanted to die. I remember one time being in such pain, lying on the floor at my boyfriend's apartment, wanting to die and asking him to buy me some Midol.

He wouldn't, he was too embarassed, so he drove me over to the store and I made it in and bought some.

It made me mad, I mean it was MIDOL. Not like I'd asked him to go in and buy a huge economy size of Kotex and a selection of tampons.

Totally a boyfriend test. Anybody that wiggy about inconsequential stuff (in my universe) doesn't make the cut with me. Life just shouldn't be that hard.

After I had elective surgery once, my bf at the time insisted we go for a drive. (Blame ME for agreeing.) He got us so lost, I seriously thought I'd end up back in the house of beds. He refused to get out at the fire station (my request) to ask for directions. Seriously. In a part of the world where he'd NEVER bee seen again. The weasel.

Heh. I sympathize, Beej. I ended up in one of the wrong parts of LA once and had to stop at a gas station and ask directions. It can be scary, but less scary than getting even more lost and somewhere you just. don't. want. to. be.
