[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Has anyone discovered the joy that is Dove ice cream? It's good ice cream, with a layer of Dove chocolate at the top of the container ... you just HAVE to eat your way through the chocolate to get to the ice cream.

This just got pimped to me yesterday and I'm getting it tonight!

The Dove ice cream comes in pints - various flavors, including vanilla, mint, vanilla with chocolate brownie swirls - and has a layer of chocolate sealing the ice cream. The container says it's chocolate ganache ... whatever. It's yummy.

And part of the appeal of ice cream these days - yesterday I went past a bank with one of those time/temperature signs on it. The time? 6:11pm. The temperature? 109

Mental note: discussing your plans to dress more like a rockstar kills the thread dead.

Actually with you it leads to a delightful mental reverie which may divert me from posting.

But a public library? Nah, that needs BOOKS!

Amen, sistah!

PawSense

Yet again, thwarted by Linux. I'm not really techy, so am constantly tempted to go over to the dark side of MS, but then I LOVE not having to do updates all the frickin' time.

A friend was walking by the snack bar at work, and they had homemade brownies, so he bought one for everyone at work! I was very good and didn't eat it for about two hours, but just gave in. OMG it was one of the best brownies evah. I so need that recipe.

ION, I love living in Alaska, but really miss good produce: fresh corn, good and inexpensive cherries (that are firm), peaches and nectarines (that are not rock hard or mushy). You guys aren't helping with this. Of course, I can gloat too: We are currently overcast with a temperature in the upper 50s, heading toward the 60s. It could be a little warmer and clearer, but I'll take this over 90s any day.

I'll have to see all the flavors that are available and pick 2 or 3 to try first. (Now that i think about it I haven't had ice cream in months.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We were driving home on Sunday and noticed that the thermometer thingy on the dash that purports to tell us what temperature it is outside the car (I have no idea how it does this) said it was 98. Then we passed one of those signs that said it was 103. Either way, I am so very thankful for air conditioning. When the air is above my internal body temperature, that's not good.
