I just got an e-mail from the professor that's advising my Independent Study for the fall. After telling me that he's looking forward to working with me, he said, "I'd also like to lead your HP paper!"

What does it say about me that I think he wants to lead my Harry Potter paper? I have absolutely *no* idea what he's talking about.

So I decided to be a guinea pig and got the Photo Finish color correct in green this weekend.

The good: It feels good going on, dries quickly, and seems to work as advertised -- it makes my skin look both smoother and less pink (though I haven't put it to too much of a test yet by, e.g., going for a jog.)

The bad: I think the added green/yellow plays up the dark circles under my eyes. This could be fixed with a spot of concealer, but of course I don't have any here at work.

All in all I'm pretty happy with the stuff, and I was a major doubter.

I was wondering abotu the different PHoto Finish color correcting thingies - I have chronic raccoon eyes, but I'm also sallow, so am I looking at two different colors to correct? i think I'm just gonna wait till I get a chance to go to a Sephora store and get all made up and buy a bunch of cosmetics that I may or may not use. Which I'm planning on doing when I zip up to New York to see Spamalot. Because I always have all kinds of time and money on my fantasy vacations.

My parents had been saying that if I didn't have a job by August, then I should just move back home and continue my job search from there, which obviously I wouldn't ever want to do in a million years.

There was the issue of my lease, which I had renewed back in November, and I knew I'd have to do something about it when I got a job. My parents asked for the number of my realtor so they could find out options or whatever, so I gave it to them. I wasn't planning on figuring things out until I got an offer and knew my timeline.

Fuck "options." My mom told them to terminate my lease, which means I have to be out of here by August 18. And move the fuck home for however long it takes me to find a job. The only thing I support about that decision is the monetary benefit.

I can't believe she went behind my back like that. I mean, I totally can, but I can't believe it's already come to this. I have to give my permission, which I am obviously not doing right now. And since I don't have a tangible job offer right now, I don't even know the timeline of when I would need to move out, but it's probably not as early as August 18, given the speed at which my prospects have been progressing. Then again, maybe it would be. I hate everything.

I'm just pleased I was able to think of something besides Hewlett-Packard.

No Sephora stores in my state, alas. I could go to one next time I visit my parents, I suppose. Whenever that may be. I'm tempted to try to find one when I'm in Houston this weekend, but that seems a little cruel to my long suffering husband.
