Mal: Gotta say, doctor, your talent for alienatin' folk is near miraculous. Simon: Yes, I'm very proud.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I can only get a babysitter on Tuesday and Thursday, and my hairdresser is only open MWF...but that's okay as she lets me bring Mal in and park him in the corner.

Those were the days. I took O in when he was still carseat-bound. He's now officially an uncontrollable force of nature.

Owen wouldn't sit still for me in the ped's office today. He hates being restrained in any way at. all.

But our doc pronounced his mobility, "Amazing!" So there's that. He also was cool with our lack of actual words. He told me the real verbal jump will likely occur between 18-24 months. He was even ok with our night-time bottle but I did say we're working on getting this over with by the end of the summer.

I don't think my OB would give me shit about color. I think I'll just wait a few weeks until I hit the second trimester and then look for something less chemically.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

ChiKat-- no I wear underwear, I just phrased that badly.

Darn. My mind went to happy places for a moment.

ION, the BF suprised me today by coming by my office to take me out to lunch. Considering he works 50 miles away, that's quite a surprise! He's cool.

What is even happening?

I just got an e-mail from the coolest sounding potential roommate. He's a reporter for the Washington Post who lives in Boston but will be on assignment in Baghdad for the next six months. I can't think of which is cooler - that he's a reporter, or that he'd basically not live here for six months!

Option b. Free rent, baybee.

Free rent, baybee.

I KNOW!

And who knows? Maybe after that six months he'll get assigned somewhere else. MORE free rent!

Time to get crackin' on tomorrow's party foods. What to make first...hmmmmmm... Tonight we've got to make Toto's bone biscuits and his carob cupcakes. And for the humans, we have to make the strawberry ice and start the decadent chocolate cake.

I'm afraid if I start the decadent chocolate cake first, I may eat it before the guests get here. It takes 21 squares of baking chocolate. Yes, you read that right. 21. Mmmmmmmmm....

Thrive to spite them

It better be! 'Cause it's gonna take some major doing to pull it off. I'll take a picture of it and tempt you all tomorrow.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Ham & butter? Just ham, butter & bread? Trying to picture....

Cass! I'm not ignoring you, hotmail is being eeeeevil.
