PLEASE tell me they live in old town Alexandra.
Nope. Potomac. Said daughter had an, ahem, rebellious phase in college. She hooked up with someone from a not-so-good section of Baltimore, and Boo was the result. I do believe the father is no longer in the picture.
brenda, I've heard "Boo" as a nickname before (in the South now that you mention it), but combined with his legal name, it gives that child a horrendous hurdle to overcome once he hits grade school.
Oh god, I hope it's clear that I would never ever do it and in no way support kicking dogs of any kind, however annoying. That's awful, Trudes.
I know that for reals, yo. And I should have said so when I posted. I used to use the phrase myself occasionally -- but it's just not funny to me anymore.
It's like how certain sexual fantasies are no longer fun after watching PBS speicals on South East Asia.
Maidengurl, I am given to understand that greyhounds are very laid back. If they can get in one good run a day - at an off leash dog park, say - they'll spend the rest of their time happily lazing about and leaning against people getting their heads scratched. I assume the smaller racing dogs are similar.
This has been my experience of the many greyhound rescues in the 'hood. Most are v.v. laid back...like "we can't GET him off the couch", except for the days they go out to the local track for reunion runs. They are also clean and quite elegant.
Our corgi buddies are hilarious and generally sweet natured (boys) but can sometimes be bossy (girls).
On the people naming front, I believe I've mentioned here before that my given name is Bonny and that the first person I ever met who spelled it the same is an African American Man. Bonny Prince Charles.
The whole royalty naming thing makes me want to do a study of life success. Do Prince's really succeed more (Rogers, not withstanding)?
And do all the Uniques in my neighborhood really stand out?
eta: I'm not generally killed by cute, but that Lily pic did me in. And great job on that shirt JZ. I want one!
Isn't JZ just a talented shirt customizer type person?
Lily looks adorable! I love the W&H shirt. And her wee little face and lovely brown hair.

Indeed, she is. Did she say she did that with a bleach pen? I had no idea there was anything like that.
My list:
(nasty ants so the cat food bowl is moated in a bowl of water that must be cleaned twice a day as my cats are not dainty eaters)
put away clothes in dryer
soak, bleach and wash whites
do last load of laundry
change sheets
wash those too
dust living room
water plants inside
water front lawn and pixie bouganvilla
add several more vowels to bougainvillea
water back yard and plants
try on two tops to see if they work or if I need to return them to Macy's
Huh. They worked. Could've sworn they were gonna have to be returned.
collect and go through mail
shred debris from going through mail
take out trash
take out recycling
wash dishes
put away dishes
and all of those clean clothes and sheets
shower, exfoliate and shave
Lily is wearing that customized shirt (onesie?) with inherited grace and aplomb. That customized garment is truly a testament to JZ's skill, derring-do and originality.
And with that, I'm being whisked away for Indian food for lunch! later.

Oh ya gotta see the back where she drew the Wolf, the Ram and the Hart in woodcut style with the bleach pen. Yay! The Lilybean is so adorable.
want a grayhound! Also, Lily is boo-tiful, and JZ rocks.
I got this email from Tom who got it from his niece in Ireland.
Can you give this next bit to Nora?
Hi Nora. Thanks for my books. Like you said in my birthday card last
year, books are my best friends. Are you gonna read the new Harry Potter book? I'll talk again soon. Bye.
I hope she likes the books for real and isn't just being polite.
