The Minearverse 4: Support Group for Clumsy People

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

WindSparrow: Apologies for any possible repetition--just threadsucked 400+ messages in this thread.

Russell T. Davies had a character use the term chavtastic in Doctor Who s2 ep1 "New Earth".

Chav is a derogatory term for gypsy.

Um, not in any England I've ever been to. Chav tends to be catch-all term for working class people with delusions of RnB heritage or that think the Beckhams are the height of class. Lots of blinging gold jewellery and a burberry cap are the usual uniform.

Urban Dictionary says this -

I fought the law and I won!

The Minearverse 5: Drive will strive to stay alive and not get canceled after episode 5.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Barry, that's brilliant! It rhymes AND it says what we all hope.

P.S. Jars, that Urban Dictionary entry is the one I learned what a chav was from in the first place. A community on LJ was having a discussion of Doctor Who fanfic in which Rose is referred to as a chav. Consensus is that she really is not.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Every time I see mention of "Drive", I automatically think of the Mark Dacascos movie of the same name.

Will there be kung fu in the show? ;)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's totally his best flick.

You can now get Firefly Eps through iTunes. No sign of Tim Minear's other FOX shows though.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I'm the whole thread, plus more, behind in Bitches, and over 5000 posts behind in Natter. I popped in to check Press and Beep Me, and was weak and checked COMM. I am so like an alcoholic with b.org. I was doing ok when I was cold turkey, but after a taste, I'm jonesing for more. After tomorrow, I'll be done with the work portion of my trip, and I soooo look forward to falling of the wagon!

For the on topic portion of my post, I kind of like Driven to Distraction for the new thread.

Minearvearse 5: Objects in pants may be larger than they appear.

I agree with all comments on this. I love it, but it kind of squicks me too.

Life is eternal, Love is immortal, and death is only an illusion.

Only if it glows in the dark.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.
