Wash: Don't fall asleep now. Sleepiness is weakness of character. Ask anyone. You're acting captain. Know what happens you fall asleep now? Zoe: Jayne slits my throat, and takes over. Wash: That's right. Zoe: And we can't stop it.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

On a scale of one to ten, how wrong is it that I want the next Minearverse thread to be called: The Minearverse 5: Now Watch this Drive.

But these go to 11...

Doesn't mean I don't love it, though.

What is even happening?

Yes. Yes, they do.
Doesn't mean I don't love it, though.
Nor should it.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Wow, I didn't know unproduced TV shows had listings in Wikipedia. And how happy am I that Timothy Busfield is going to have a regular role?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Giving Tim's thread a politics-related title? Pretty wrong, I'm thinking.

It's hella clever, but I don't think it's appropriate.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Concur that it's clever, but has a the connotation of calling the president a moron, which is fine as natter, but not so much as a thread title.

hip deep in pie

I don't suppose we could just get Sports Night back. No? Peter Krause's free! Six Feet Under is done!

Wasn't he miserable doing SN? Or was that Josh Charles?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I don't let things like the actor's wishes interfere with my desire for more good TV.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I've had Minearverse 5: We're Crafty stuck in my head for a couple of months.

Oh, that's too bad. It wasn't actually meant to have that strong of a political connotation. I was mostly thinking of Tim's new series (it is "Drive", right?) and then that five and drive rhyme, and then a political thing tangentially (because it is something Bush actually said, right? I didn't see Michael Moore's film, because I don't like how he tells stories), in that the board is largely liberal, and my understanding is that Tim is somewhat conservative (although I've never paid any focused attention to his specific politics).

I don't think it's escapable for the most part. I haven't seen the movie myself, but my first thought was of the movie, and of Moore's views.
