In my entire book, I don't actually talk about television at all. Oddly, I'm listening to "I Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by Melanie Doane. A love song about television.
I'm just now getting into why I loved Buffy so, and what that had in common with my love of fandom.
But since all roads lead back to Minearverse, I remember at that panel where we saw Tim talk about teevee, and the mod asked what he thought about people who had snobby attitudes about television. Like it was beneath them.
Tim said, "I run them down with my Mercedes."
"I run them down with my Mercedes."
This is my goal in life. To have that attitude and means if not the car. And it was hysterical when he said it.
"I run them down with my Yugo."
Just doesn't have the same ... verve.
I have a Chevy that can take Tim's Mercedes in a fight.
Was it made back when cars were still being made out of steel?
There's no way I can write about why I loved Buffy so without being smarmy.
I just really loved my girl.
There's no way I can write about why I loved Buffy so without being smarmy.
I just really loved my girl.
Those two sentences would probably be sufficient.
I have a Chevy that can take Tim's Mercedes in a fight.
The first rule of car fight club...
So a West Wing, about TV? Kind like SportsNight?
Those two sentences would probably be sufficient.
Except I think she's supposed to be writing more than that.
Only not sports. Sketch comedy.
