I caught her on a park bench, making out with a *chaos* demon! Have you ever seen a chaos demon? They're all slime and antlers.

If I only had a brain...

There's been times when I've thought it would be easier to just have a million spotlights following everyone around.

Go all Brechty and have each actor carry his/her own light.

What is even happening?

Anybody else read that as "breasts" instead of "beasts"?
*raises hand*
Just me then, I guess.
Maybe so.

I love car movies, though I've never seen Cannonball Run. Mostly, I think I just love cars so I'll totally watch a movie about them. Even a bad one.

So I take it you're going to see Cars ?

It looks very family friendly. I'll probably wait for it to hit cable.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Though I've worked with more than my fair share of actors who can't ever seem to find their light. Light is hot & bright. I don't know how they can fail to find it, but they do. There's been times when I've thought it would be easier to just have a million spotlights following everyone around.

I've seen stage productions at the community college level where the director was the music director for the college and not only forced the sets to be all bright colors, but insisted on having all lights up and the scoops on during the performances "so everyone can be seen." Thank god I was just starting out and had a minor part.

The drama department staff declined to insist on credits for the lighting team...I think at the request of the lighting team.

What's a scoop?

All is well that ends in pizza.

At least in my college, they were the massive flood lights above stage for floodlighting the entire stage with white light for rehersals and set building and cleaning.

I could be conflating another term, ImnRC.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Daniel is right. A scoop is a big wash light usually used for work light. They're not usually used during performances because there is no way of cutting the light off of things you don't want to draw attention to. Scoops.

You people are gonna give me nightmares with all your bad lighting stories. I hope you're happy.

We could switch to bad sound stories instead?

My favorite of which is a very bad, no good, pre-Broadway musical I saw called "Kept", in which the heroine had to play a nude scene and sing at the same time, and there was no way to hide her body mic power pack. She was on a rotating platform, so simply keeping her front forward wasn't sufficient.
