I'm so excited for you! I was going to go to Vegas -- but I had to sell my tickets as I was too broke to get there!

I figured that since I was staying AT the Mandalay Bay, I should look into a ticket. And today! They released seats!

It was fate, really.

No way!!! That's totally exciting!!

I hope that they're good ones!

All the reports I've been reading of the tour have been good. (Are you over at Rockband.com?)

I know! I'm stupid with excitement. I think my coworkers are gonna bash me if I don't stop humming.

The seats are to the side of the stage but I'm okay with that.

I haven't checked out that site yet. But I'm bookmarking it to look at when I get home.

Is your date before or after Vegas?

After -- it's the 4th.

We had good seats for Vegas -- but we've got EXCELLENT seats for Chicago. (I wish I'd known you were interested -- I totally would have just sold you the tickets.)

Oh thanks! That would have been cool. Though my whole trip to Vegas was very up in the air until this week. Was I going? Wasn't I going? How long would I be staying? Where would I be staying? What would I be doing while I was there? It made me dizzy.

At CBS, "Joan of Arcadia" creator Barbara Hall will write and executive produce "Ultra," the showbiz trade papers report. Based on the Image Comics title, it's about a young woman whose search for the right guy is complicated by the fact that she's a superhero. David Engel and David Alpert are co-exec producers.

I guess, if you had to shorthand it, you could say it's "Sex and the City"-meets-"Wonder Woman." Couldn't you? You could, right?

She'd make a good superhero.

I think Amber is making movies now, and more power to her--my little Emily Quartermaine (although in theory, I agree with you Gris, as she's so watchable, I'd give any show of hers a go).

Where's Narrator?

Narrator,

We've just started watching Cold Case. As of Sunday's episode (which may have been a re-run) The One True Carly Manning seems to be a cast member or recurring. She's got really dark hair now, so it took me about 3 minutes of saying, "I know her. I know her. I know her." Then she flared her nostrils and I shouted out Sarah Brown !

I know nothing about "Ultra" (or comic books, in general), so I've no idea if AT would be perfect casting. I will say, though, I'm willing to give "Ultra" a try, should it make it to series.
