I imagine that things that were in development are still in development. Just fewer of them will actually get made. Let's see, the WB ordered pilots for "Cult" and "Juniper Hall" last week. They had to know this in the air by then, right? And UPN is/was getting something from Kevin Williamson, god help us all.
Oooh, and there's a show from Harley Peyton in development. They should make that! I decree it!
Now I do wonder about the aquaman series......hmmmm
It is already in casting stages....
Kevin Williamson.... Oh god..... Not another Dawson creek... maybe this time it will be with midgets....everyone likes midgets.
This news is in this thread because they're going to celebrate the new channel by renewing Wonderfalls, right? Right?
And let's lob The Inside and Firefly in there while we're at it. Fuckit, Angel too.
Wednesday: Veronica Mars/Supernatural
Any potential line-ups I've read report Dawn Ostroff (that's the right name, right?) is looking to have
Gilmore Girls
lead into
Veronica Mars,
I think on a different night, but I disremember which one.
Tuesday nights, which would be VM's original day and GG would remain where it is in the line-up. i think GG/VM makes more sense than VM/Supernatural. plus, it would get VM out of competition with Lost, Bones and Law and Order.
tiggy, do you watch GG? I never have. It took over the sacred time slot, and I was mad at the WB for killing the Bronze early, and yes, otherwise totally irrational.
I would love to get VM off of the same night as
Lost.
I think VM would appeal to some viewers who just found
Lost
first, and stuck with it, and don't have the ability or can't be arsed to watch one, and record the other, since they aren't (yet) fans of VM.
They had to know this in the air by then, right?
In the computer industry -- dunno about television -- you proceed internally as if no merger were planned right up to the announcement, and even after. People would rather waste money than wind up losing momentum on projects that could turn out to be important. Many speeches are given to the effect of "Keep right on with what you're doing up until we lay you off".
yep. i've watched GG since the beginning. i'm more of a casual viewer though and not at all involved in the fandom.
i'm not someone who blames the shows filling the timeslot. if i did that, i wouldn't have watched some good shows.

Same here. I spare my rage for the network.
If nothing else, the craxy of the Dark Angel fans turned me off the idea before I even had it.
