Mal: So we run. Nandi: I understand, Captain Reynolds. You have your people to think of, same as me. And this ain't your fight. Mal: Don't believe you do understand, Nandi. I said 'we run'. We.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm sorry, Kristen. You were the best one.

I'm sorry, Kristen.

I'm really really impressed by what you did achieve

A thousand times yes to this.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

i'm sorry to hear that, Kristen. judging by your posts, it looks like you made some great contacts though. hopefully you'll land something even better.

Allyson, that picture sounds so adorable.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm sorry, Kristen.

The contacts you met are a prize that could be very useful in your future.

To sum up, proud.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Kristen, I'm really sorry. I think they made the wrong decision, but they don't listen to me.

Kristen - Dec 19, 2005 5:27:58 pm PST #7119 of 10001

Thanks guys. I'm still feeling kind of sad and mopey at the moment but they did encourage me to keep in touch with them after the new year, since they sometimes get leads on writing assignments and stuff. So not a total loss. Plus, cool accomplishment to list on my cover letter.

Also, if I'm going to totally be Little Miss Mary Sunshine, there could a bright side if one of my potential pilot ideas turns out to be good since, now, no one owns it but me!

Strega - Dec 19, 2005 5:46:59 pm PST #7120 of 10001

Bah. I didn't wish you luck because I have a history of jinxing people when I do that. But you ARE a finalist, and I think "not a total loss" underplays the amazingness a tad. Out of how many thousands, you were in the top, what, twenty? That's not a fluke.

I think you are entitled to mope for a day or two, but after that you have to remember that the whole thing has been an endorsement of your skills, not a rejection.

And when the winners are officially announced, we'll hunt them down and take care of them for you. "Say, nice fellowship you've got here. Shame if something... happened to it."

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Kristen}}} I'm so sorry, but what everyone else said is totally true, you rock!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Like they all said, Kristen. It does suck, but you do rock, and seriously -- what Strega said:

Out of how many thousands, you were in the top, what, twenty? That's not a fluke.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Kristen, I'm sorry. But yes, what Strega said is the important thing to remember.
