The Minearverse 4: Support Group for Clumsy People

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Allyson, Bath and Body Works carries that line.

(And how do I know this? Because Jilli told me, then brought it out for a tasty sniff a couple of weeks ago.)

Allyson, did you have a chance to get that # thing I needed from you? Still no hurry.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

oh, msbelle, I'm so sorry. I forgot. I wish I had a good excuse since I spent so long doing nothing productive.

Thanks, Plei! Ima get me a big tub of it.

I did manage to get my hair dyed last night, and just noticed that despite what i thought was proper exfoliation, my forehead is still stained purple. GROSS.

Topicy because of dogs:

I just got a holiday card picture of my nephew sitting on the front stoop in the snow with the dogs, a rottweiller-pitbull mix and an English mastif, which makes him look sooooo small.

He's bundled up in a snowsuit like the kid from A Christmas story with his little arms sticking straight out because he obviously can't put them down, and all you can see is his little eyes and nose peeking out from his hat and scarf.

He looks miserable. And so do the dogs. They all want back in the house.

SO CUTE.

So. Update. I just heard back from Disney and I didn't get in to the program.

Am sad now. I'm going to make some chicken soup and go back to bed. (I seem to have contracted the PLAGUE on the flight to NY.)

Thanks again to everyone for the kind words and support. Hopefully, I'll have better news in the new year.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You rock nonetheless, Kristen. Don't lose sight of that. You achieved a boatload.

You might as well blame the plague on sarameg. One way or another.

Well, it's not the first boneheaded decision Disney's ever made. (I'm looking at you, Treasure Planet.) Here's hoping for only good news in the new year.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm sorry, Kristen. I know you're disappointed. But, I believe in your talent. In the longview this won't even be a speedbump in your career. I'm chuffed in advance that I knew you when.
