Oh it's the best kind of surreal ever. It's just, you know, weird.
Eventually, it will sink in. I think.
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
Oh it's the best kind of surreal ever. It's just, you know, weird.
Eventually, it will sink in. I think.
But, most importantly, I heard some really wonderful things about my writing in my interview yesterday and I am more confident now that I don't completely suck.
Oh, that's great.
I hope the surreal continues, in the best way possible.
Kristen, why are you awake?
Seriously! God, this week, are all of us going to be awake at the same time, twiddling our thumbs?
Well, at least we'll have plenty of alcohol.
ETA: And thank you, Nilly!
There's an Israeli story about the green village, in which everything was green: green houses, green cars, green toads, green people. And one day, a green person got out of his green house, went inside his green car, and on his drive along the green road, while humming a green song, he saw a blue man. And the blue man said "me? I'm from a different story altogether".
That's how I feel when I have to think about timezones and who-should-be-awake-when and people just getting up when I finish my lunch. I'm the blue man from the different story. In the most interesting way possible, of course. I wouldn't know how to visit the green world any other way.
Kat, I know! Why are we awake? At least (I think that) you and I have gotten some sleep, and are just up way too early) while I suspect Kristen is still awake.
oops
jeez. Stoopid clumsy 5:00 am fingers.
I did get sleep. About 8 hours. I was profoundly headachy yesterday after a full day of class with 2 presentations that I was only moderately prepared for (after a full work week, including 1 14 hour day). So I went to bed early and am up early. But Kristen? Yes concerned.
