Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

The Minearverse 4: Support Group for Clumsy People

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm looking forward to her being a showrunner and hiring me to sit on my ass and stare at a wall.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I see your role as more waiting until the writers are completely fouling up the premise of the show and then going into the bullpen with a baseball bat and cleaning house Untouchables style.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Means that lots of people who hire writers thought she was the bees knees.

Of course she IS the bee's knees.

I'm looking forward to her being a showrunner and hiring me to sit on my ass and stare at a wall.

It's not what you know in Hollywood, it's WHO you know.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

More importantly, it is who knows you.

The status is NOT quo.

Kristen and Kristin are two different buffistas. They may be twins, but one of them hasn't posted in this thread recently.

Not until right now when I saw Kristen's great news and had to come congratulate her!

A One that isn't cold, is scarcely A One at all.

It's not what you know in Hollywood, it's WHO you know.

Ain't that the truth. Been busting my hump with internships when I should have been concentrating on networking. Just recently started doing extra work, getting friendly with the PAs, other extras. I don't want to be an actor so there's no competition thing.

Congrats to Kristen.

There are maybe a handful of contests that carry weight and that's one of them. I'm just finishing helping read entries for the Sundance Writing Labs. I've read scripts that have won international contests and even one from a former Sundance Viewer Award winner. Even the lesser known contests get a "special look." What that means is that expectations are high. A lesser script from an unknown contest doesn't mean much but a good script from a well known contest could really open doors. From my limited experience, for what it's worth.

One Hot Burrito!

I'm looking forward to the future where we can have "The Kristenverse."

Also, whoever linked to the Boohbahs, they should know this:

Those things terrify me.

But will Tim be the webmaster of THE Kristen.net?

Y'all are funny. Allyson is cute.

If you don't make it past this point, is getting this far the kind of thing that can still propel you forward?

Absolutely. I'm now a two-time Disney semi-finalist, which looks really good on a cover letter. (Though I'd prefer to be a finalist or, even better, a fellow.) Case in point, one of my friends mentioned the Disney thing to someone we know and now there is a possibility that, if the Disney thing doesn't happen and said someone's boss's show gets picked up, I might be able to get a writer's assistant gig.

But, most importantly, I heard some really wonderful things about my writing in my interview yesterday and I am more confident now that I don't completely suck.

My life has gone from zero to surreal in six weeks.
