Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

If I only had a brain...

"how to tell if the showrunner hates you."

Oh, do tell.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It must have to do with rage.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It must have to do with rage.

Like 28 Days Later. It's in the blood.

"how to tell if the showrunner hates you."

10) Files all your submitted scripts under R for Recycling
9) Makes you act out particular scenes with character voices in front of the catering staff
8) Wants your next submission to be in crayon
7) Calls you Shakespeare, a lot
6) Asks if you've ever considered writing for Reality TV
5) Refers to you as the "one in every group" guy
4) Has you pitch him ideas from outside the stall
3) Tells you your punchlines make him cry
2) Uses finger quotes when discussing your "dialogue"
1) Makes you break all the news from Fox headquarters

Strawberry disappointment.

Was there ever any decision with regards to The Inside DVDs? Did I miss the memo?

UTTAD, according to Tim Minear "The Minearverse 4: Support Group for Clumsy People" Oct 24, 2005 7:20:19 pm PDT :

So far, no plans for "The Inside" DVDs, alas.

And Tim Minear "The Minearverse 4: Support Group for Clumsy People" Oct 26, 2005 2:15:38 pm PDT :

they have, I guess, run some sort of numbers and have decided that the 30 million or whatever they ended up spending on our little show would be better spoken of no more. It's too bad, because the last handful, about half the run, that didn't air are all pretty much "Aidan" quality bitty short stories but with tasty theme-threads.

Oh, I remembered something funny from the Expo. There was an idea that, in addition to the Cordelia meets her dream man thing, Angel and Cordelia should switch bodies. I can't remember if it was Angel-as-Cordy or Cordy-as-Angel going on the dream date. But I do remember Tim's response.

"Because the show wasn't gay enough."
