Question: Will hiding in a cavern with stockpiled chocolate goods be any part of this plan?

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not going to lie. The man is wicked pretty. He just needs to stop acting.

He just needs to stop acting.

I was gonna say that he needs to start acting.

Too difficult. Let's split the difference. He needs to stop taking acting jobs.

Maybe he could become one of those living art pieces.

If I only had a brain...

It's interesting, that moment when you pass from pre-migraine into an actual migraine.

Yeah. The thing is, if you don't know what's coming, the pre-migraine is actually a transcendental state. Everything has really sharp edges. Sounds are clear. Shapes are four-dimensional rather than three-dimensional: stereo on steroids, if you will.

Then comes the crushing pain, so overall not an E-ticket ride.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

My dreamcast:

Manny: Luke Wilson
Wyoh: Michelle Rodriguez
Kai: CCH Pounder
Stuart: Either Cillian Murphy or Brendan Fraser, I'm undecided
Mort the Wart: John Malkovich
Prof: Sir Ian
Alvarez: Christopher Maloney

This likely proves that while I have many talents, casting is not one of them.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Either Cillian Murphy or Brendan Fraser, I'm undecided

!

I haven't read the book, so now I'm gonna be all distracted trying to imagine a character that could be played by either of these two guys.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just wish I could remember who Stuart is, since I can totally see them being interchangeable. Or, well, easily defensible but differing interpretations of the same text.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seriously. I mean, I've only seen Cillian Murphy play creepy, so maybe he's not like that all the time, but still!

I dont have the book in front of me, Jess, so I'm not sure how much of Tim's vision is bleeding into my memory, but Stuart was sort of a wealthy brat with some influence on Terra, who was recruited by Prof and Manny to help create a bunch of Loonie Sympathisizers on Terra.
