Well, if we do get DVDs rather than more TV episodes at least that means we get nifty commentary.
I WANNA DO COMMENTARY
Yes. I know. Never happen. STILL!!!!
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Don't sacrifice a story over time JUST for the First Impression, Tim! The story over time is what those of us smart enough to undervalue the First Impression love.
Just come up with an awesome story over time that also makes a bitchin' first impression. Gee, that should be simple, right? :)
Allyson, De-Clawed is supposed to air right before the (eternal?) pre-emption. I really hope it does, I'm as excited about it as anything I've done. Coyote's whole "Vertigo" thing just gives me a stone stiffie.
If I have anything to say about it, and I probably don't, there will be an Allyson/Kristen Buffista commentary on one of the episodes.
I've also got lots of lucious cut scenes and alternate versions of things.
Bah. But honestly, who would ever in a zillion years have guessed that freaking Dancing With The Stars would be the huge breakout hit? The Inside seems like such a good example of doing the kind of thing that's on TV, but really well, (unlike, say, Firefly) I really would expect it to get solid ratings.
Sorry, Tim. Sounds like you have the right attitude, anyway. I'd imagine that feeling crushed every time a tv show didn't have a ten-season run would lead to Bad Things.
Exactly, Jesse. And I just want to point out that Angel went five years. So it's not like I have have the hand of doom. I mean, I do, but, oh, nevermind.
Well, blarg. Sorry to hear that. I was interested in seeing where the story arc was going to go, and I hope I get to see enough to whet my appetite for a DVD set before it gets yanked. If it gets yanked, which I hope it doesn't.
Now you can make that show about the guy who murders ice cream sandwiches.
Tim, how much more would it suck if TV DVDs weren't the nifty trend they've become? It seems cool that we're entering a time where cancelled material (or hell, even unaired material like the GF pilot) can find a rabid appreciative fanbase.
Hooray for the Long Tail!
Bugger.
Sorry to hear that they've emptied yet another great show.
Aw Tim. I really liked this week's episode. The others were good too, but not as great as the last one. Nevertheless, The Inside was on my TiVo Season Pass list (and Dacing with the B-Listers is nowhere to be found there).
Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to get at is keep making new shows, and I'll keep showing up to watch them.
Happy Independence Day!
