[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I can usually make two hats with 100 yards on 10.5, and that's with a tighter gauge.

So Polgara, you think I'll be okay with 100 yards and therefore I should not order more? Also, how many do you cast on?

Stupey bad connection

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

For an average skullcap type hat, 100 yds should be fine. Consider the average scarf is about 200 yards of yarn, and think how many times you could wrap that scarf around your head.

I would cast on 80 stitches (3.5/inch * 22", rounded up), a few more if it's gonna be ribbed.

If I only had a brain...

I could sing you "Annachie Gordon".

Fair warning, though: (A) it's long and (B) everybody dies. A lot.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ita, when you bought your lounge, did your salesperson send you a thank you note?

Yes. In fact, between the time I ordered and when it was delivered, she sent me "thinking of you" notes -- and referred to events during my ordering, just to show she cared. I expect to find her parked outside my apartment one of these days.

Cutest thing -- the delivery guys rolled it in.

Oh good. Because, when I got the card, I said, "I didn't think the rug was that expensive."

ETA: And it just highlights the difference between them and the other store. There has been no thank you or communication of any kind from the thoroughly stupid salesperson who "sold" me my table.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So you bought the rug, Kristen?

Very cool.

I did! I did! Happy birthday to me!

I also bought the coffee/dining table which will be Merry Christmas to me.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

A) Rachel Nichols was displaying some impressive cleavage on Alias.

And me with a new DVD recorder not recording this. ;-)
