I'm debating knitting a hat. I need advice, msbelle. It's a weird novelty yarn that says 3 1/5 stitches per inch on 10 1/2 needles. How many would I need to cast on in order to make an adult hat? And, while I'm asking, how much yardage would you estimate I need?

I have felt, Allyson. what kind do you want?

What's standard? 21 inches? 23 inches?

yeah 21-23 for an adult, in which case you'ld cast on between 70-90.
