Punishingly Intricate

I really want that treehouse...It looked like an awesome hangout.

I loved the striped tent top. Waterproof, too, I'd gather. It was kind of neat. Fun place to go read or whatever. And, you know, plot and plan.

I may have to seize the cat.

All I could think was, "Look at all that nice stuff she's keeping in the treehouse! Aren't they afraid it will get wet?"

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Anyone notice the baby doll Melanie had in the tree house that had duct tape over it's mouth.

I'd call it a shoutout to Drusilla, but I know better. Still hella creepy.

giraffe mode

Frank I was just gonna mention that. It creeped me right the hell out!

I may have to seize the cat.

Yes, very creepy.

I did take the fact that Nora's mom was named Zoe as a shoutout.

What is even happening?

Anyone notice the baby doll Melanie had in the tree house that had duct tape over it's mouth.

Okay, I wasn't just seeing things.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I can't get over how beautiful Rachel Nichols is. Stunningly beautiful. Hauntingly beautiful.

She also gives good raised eyebrow look.

I also noticed a nostril flare. she conveys a lot with just facial expressions.

I apologize for continuously blathering about Veronica Mars since my conversion a few days ago -- somebody point me to a better venue (if there is one) where I won't get spoilered. :)

I never get tired of talking about VM, but i have to admit to feeling guilty for doing it in Tim's thread when it's currently pitted against his show in the line-ups. as for a place to go not to get spoiled, there is a special section of marsinvestigations.net that is catering to new fans watching the repeats on UPN. the site seems to be down though. there's also a new livejournal community here.

Friends don't let friends dismiss Veronica Mars unjustly.

tiggy -- I've read as much of mi.net as I feel I can without getting spoiled. I need an output forum where I can gush. A thread somewhere that's synchronized with the reruns, perhaps. Although I'm rabid enough that I may surpass the reruns soon. And yes, sumi, I'm all over the DVDs when they arrive.

I really wish the TV execs would figure out Internet distribution. I've downloaded VM eps on BitTorrent. This is technically illegal. I would gladly pay a couple of bucks to legally download these now, though. And I'd still buy the DVDs when they come out!

On top of this, my viewing of past episodes that I have no other way to obtain has only made me more likely to watch broadcast episodes. If there was no BitTorrent, I wouldn't be a fan of Veronica Mars. I would never have seen the pilot, so the reruns wouldn't have made much sense. I would have no way to convince my friends to watch, and the show would be arguably more screwed than it already is, viewer-wise.

P2P trading of TV shows is going to happen no matter what the networks try to do. They're making $0 from it right now. If they let us legally download episodes immediately after airing for a reasonable fee, they'll get some number of customers and make $X. As long as $X is greater than $Y, the cost of hosting the downloads, they make money.

Dammit TV industry! Someone give us iTV! It won't stop dishonest folks from stealing, but it'll give us honest folks a chance to reward good work where we find it, disseminate it more easily to our friends, and help spread the work that much more easily.

Not that I'm passionate about this or anything.
