I have hugged ita, but she was on crutches at the time, so it may not count.
I think he was saying, I have played this character as a sidekick for 8 years.
I return to the spice/Spike metaphor. You don't want a whole dinner to just be seasoning. Spike works best as seasoning.
I will eat my cat if this movie actually happens.
I don't think she'd appreciate that. And you'll get a killer hairball.

I think the proper way to put it would be that ita hugged me. There was this awkward moment where it was like, "Do we hug?" And then we did. Anyway, yeah. Meeting ita, highlight of the premiere for me.
Do you have a cat?

Most of the time, yeah, but I'd be interested in seeing if he could carry the right storyline. And I think El Tim could put together the right storyline for him to carry.
"Out of Gas" continues to be a fine piece of television. Two moments nearly brought me to tears: Kaylee's lament about the state of Serenity and one of my favorite moments in all the show, Mal's "Everybody dies alone."
I don't see anything inherent in Spike's character nor in JM's range that means an interesting movie-length story can't be told about him. In fact, I think, with good writing, any of the Scoobs (including Giles) can support a story. Hell, maybe others. But they all have enough mental traction. Just because Halfrek might have interesting stories doesn't mean I'd care to tune in.
I'd watch a Jonathan movie. If he weren't, y'know, dead.
I can't think of anything left to tell about Spike that would not b ea retelling of Angel somehow.
He helps the helpless..
He has a group that fights evil.
He searches for redemption, while trying to forget the woman he loves?
I just think there are stories out there such as Ripper and Faith that have little or no known things about them, compared to Spike which vertually everything is known. Well except the past like with dru, which he could be the lead of.
The past with Dru has huge potential.
Does Spike help the helpless? Does he have a group that fights evil? Undetermined. Seeks redemption? Did you watch the same show I did? He wanted redemption in Buffy's eyes, and got that before he blinged himself to death.
Just set up a future conflict that highlights Spike's characteristics and strengths, and throw him at it.
