I would watch a Spike movie written by Tim. In fact, I'm looking forward to it -- assuming that it is going forward.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
I'd watch a Spike movie by Tim, too. Actually, I'd watch any Spike movie. But I do think Tim would do it right. He'd take us back to the original Spike of season 2 and still have him saving puppies for Christmas.
I'm in for a Spike movie, as long as there's a decent story attached and no distant glimpses of other characters' hair from afar.
Tim does pain and suffering like nobody else (hey, a joss quote, I really am a fanboy). Spike needs pain. And suffering. Like nobody else.
Bwah! Well, I'd see a Tim-helmed Spike movie, or even a Tim-helmed Andrew and Kennedy movie. But I'm not sure respect for talent alone could get me in the theatre to watch characters I loathe without the made-by-a-friend factor, even if such were Jane's or Joss' baby instead.
Campaign to get Tim to kill off Spike begins here. I'll give you $4 and a waffle, Tim. (Although, note, you'd totally get some craxy fan hate mail).
As Buffy said, wouldn't help.
I'm unfortunately convinced that the Woobie that Ate Fandom would resurface despite even Tim's best efforts at fatality.
I'd watch a Spike movie by Tim. I don't want to sound like a snob (I TOTALLY AM) but if one of the Buffy writers had done it, I don't think I would to be honest.
I'd not be fooling anyone if I didn't say I'd watch anything either by Tim or starring any Buffyverse characters -- curiousity would win above all, if nothing else -- but, to my knowledge, Tim never actually wrote Spike before. So it would be interesting to see a fresh take.

Actually, Spike works best when he's pretty much running on sarcasm. Too much pain and suffering turns him into Michael Bolton!Spike.
No, too much badly written pain turns him into Michael Bolton!Spike.
Sarcastic funny Spike is fun, but it's a careful balance - he soon becomes The Fonz. In my opinion, anyway.
Naw, Spike's leather jacket is better.
Tim, I think you'll give great Spike movie. I just hope I see it, unlike the murder of my husband.
Mebbe Tim could kill Scott off in the Spike movie. There's got to be some victims in there somewhere.
