I did however learn that in 1999, the L&M group put out a line of prom dresses based on the dress Buffy wore in the homecoming episode.
Wow. That is cool. I kind of want one now.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Before or after drowning?
That's what I was wondering, Betsy.
She didn't drown at homecoming, that was the Spring Fling, or something, homecoming was when she and Cordelia were in Slayerfest.
I thought it was Slayerfest 2000, though, and this was definitely 1999.
Maybe the L&M info meant "Spring Fling" and said "Homecoming."
ETA: Slayerfest '98. By 2000, Buffy was in spring of her freshman year of college. I know cuz we're the same age.
And it's this dress: [link]
Though I'd rather have Cordy's: [link]
My prom dress was green.
Oops.
I had to look it up to find out what year it *was.* I just knew it wasn't 2000.
So howsabout that Tim Minear, huh?
I now have "Green Dress" by Jonathan Larson (from Tick, Tick, BOOM!) stuck in my head. Thanks Kiba.
Tim is awesome. I crave Inside DVDs. CRAVE them. For petting and hugging and watching and getting disturbed at in such glorious glory.
Thanks so much for looking into it, Perkins!

He's a cutiehead. And a crazyperson.
I've also got about 50 emails in the last week from people demanding to know where The Inside is...
It's hidden under the WMDs.
