I watch Dead Zone. though i'm about 3 eps behind at the moment. they're sitting on my TiFaux waiting for me to watch them.
i'm actually more impressed with The 4400 this year than i am with Dead Zone. the writers don't seem to know where to go with the latter anymore.
Yeah, I heard that Dead Zone has taken a real dive lately. Which is a shame, because Michael Piller is very friendly to fandom.
I thought that Piller was no longer doing the day to day showrunning. I could've sworn I read that somewhere.
But yes, he's incredibly fan friendly. I think the Dead Zone website is one of the best official sites out there. They have everything you could ever want. You can download shooting scripts! And the show bible!
ETA: I'd look it up on the message boards but the pre-new site threads are all gone.
I watched Dead Zone season one. Lost interest somewhere in the second season, though. It seemed to meander.
I agree with those who find The 4400 less than gripping. I watched one episode - sadly, not Summer Glau's - and felt like I was watching a torrid soap opera with some sci-fi trappings. There was something about a precious little girl getting adopted and some evil corporation, and my attention wandered away to the fridge.
Dead Zone is okay -- but ambitious it certainly isn't. Less than The 4400, for sure.
Wasn't there a coming apocalypse in Dead Zone? Did they ever do anything with that, or is it still coming?
they kind of dropped the apocalypse for a while and are now working their way back to it.
I think I'll be borrowing those DVDs instead of buying them.
I've been a Dead Zone fan since the start, but it does seem to be treading water this season. Spreading the apocalypse arc over multiple seasons makes for a thin arc by season four.
I continue to be a big AMH fan, though.
