I'm just, uh, just feeling kinda... truthsome right now. And, uh... life's just too damn short for ifs and maybes.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I don't see him saying anything I don't regularly say about fandom. So, yeah, it's hard for me to see a problem.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I mainly think it's funny that he thinks The 4400 is a challenging and complicated show.

I mean, I watch it, and I enjoy it, but it's like genre comfort food. I enjoy it because being an X-Files fan was extremely stressful, and it's nice to watch a show that's in that same vein but that requires no real thought or emotional investment.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's true -- it has its mysteries, but there's no need to feel compelled, as a viewer, to solve them. I never thought we had enough clues to bother working at it.

It's been...good, with one or two high points -- the episode with the reality all in the chick's head was great, I thought, and had excellent emotional through lines.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Eh. I really didn't like that episode. I got the idea, but the execution felt off to me.

I do like the show more than I thought I would, though. It's interesting and fun. But not horribly challenging and complex. I mean, it has an arc, and if that's too challenging for you, then...oops.

I thought it was very sweet. It's the only episode I've bothered to save on the TiVo.

Yeah, there were other people who liked it too. Me, I just couldn't past the ludicrousness of seeing the "EIGHT YEARS LATER" card. Although I do like what they did with that in the last episode, where Alana had trouble keeping her realities straight.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.

I was hooked during season one, but this season fell short of my expectations. The tension does seem to be building up to a fairly decent finale though.

the episode with the [spoiler omitted] was great, I thought, and had excellent emotional through lines.

That was a really great ep.

Life is eternal, Love is immortal, and death is only an illusion.

Anyone here caught the new Battlestar? It is really good.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Lotsa people have. Discussion happens in the Boxed Set thread.
