If I only had a brain...

It was an English-style curry. Banana and currants and other weird stuff are traditional.

Actually, it was a bizarre American variant on a curry; it was clearly broiled chicken mixed in a curry sauce, rather than chicken stewed in curry.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Luckily they weren't traditional when and where I was in England.

If I only had a brain...

Hmm. That's fascinating.

I wonder if it's only Americans who do that, then? When I was growing up, if we were having a curry-powder-based curry, there were always chopped eggs, chopped peanuts, chopped banana, coconut, raisins... to sprinkle on. That was what made it fun.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

DH likes bananas with his curry, and has always said it was a South African thing. Something bland to nibble if the hot was too much, I think.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Rock on, Simon.

Although I apparently conveyed inaccurate information to a coworker -- I got Kevin's question about Serenity II confused with Joss asking Tim about the blond vampire thing, and told someone that Joss had asked Tim to do Serenity II.

t shrugs helplessly

Well, I didn't say it in front of a camera or post it anywhere, so I can't be held responsible for the rumors if they crop up.

Joss is married to Tim?

So, you're saying there's a connection between Joss and Tim?

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Consuela thought that:

Joss had asked Tim to do Serenity II.

Perhaps this is where that thought came from: Kevin said, in Kevin "The Minearverse 4: Support Group for Clumsy People" Aug 23, 2005 3:01:48 am PDT

So, last question? I got the mic, stood up and asked: So, Joss, Tim Minear for Serenity 2?

Joss looked totally shocked he got an actual, you know, question. Then he corrected the fact I still can't pronounce Minear. His response? Camera man got it and I haven't got the footage yet to quote... But it was favourable. The campaign for Tim on Serenity 2 has begun.

So, not nearly as definite as the blond vampire gig, but still, I'm hopeful.
