Who was Allie Fowler?
Amanda's daughter, I think. It's been so long. *glares NBCward*
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

And Sam wasn't just some day-player, either.
No, he was some weirdo hippie artist freak.
Whatever happened to them? I know she had an affair with... whatshisname... Evan! Damn. Those brain cells should really be reallocated. Anyway - did they get divorced, or did he die? I don't remember.
Huh. I never watched it. Maybe that's my problem.
I started watching PO5, only because Christopher Keyser & Amy Lippman had been my favorite writers on "Sisters." (The season when Kat was raped, and Sela Ward's Teddy fell in love w/ (and married) George Clooney's Det. Falconer? Utter perfection.) And I stayed tuned in, because the writing, especially for Bailey's intervention, was sharp.
ETA: Well...for the most part. Let's just say, I liked it when I watched it, but I didn't always rush to the TV set to watch it.
But I tell ya, no one clapped louder than I did when they announced that JLH's character, Sarah, was being spun off into her own show...and no one was scared more than I was when FOX announced "Time of Your Life" was no more, either.
Anyway - did they get divorced, or did he die?
I thought he went blind.
I know his MIL went blind. And then Mac pretended to be some other dude so he could be close to her.
This is the BEST CONVERSATION EVAH!

Who? Sam and Amanda? Well, Sam was recast w/ Brian L. Green, and suddenly discovered a love for performing country music, which sent him out of Bay City, and to Nashville (I think). And Amanda had a few more love interests, incl. dastardly Grant, but ended up w/ Gary Sinclair's brother, Cameron.
But it gets even more confusing!
Robert Kelker-Kelly was lured back to the show in a different role from Sam Fowler, in which Vicky falls for the man who was given Ryan's corneas in a transplant.

I know! So much fun!

In total agreement. They're rerunning the series. It fails me which channel at the moment - I shall google.
Sort of. "It's Garry Shandling's Show" was a Showtime show, but the reruns were "repurposed" for a time on FOX Sunday nights, back when anything was paired w/ "Married...with Children."
Best sitcom ever (Garry Shandling I mean). I need this on DVD now.
