That's my girl, large and in-charge. Okay, teensy-weensy and in charge.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

The evil is this way?

Anyone seen the new "Dixie" -- who may or may really be Dixie -- on "All My Children"? The actress has a reasonable resemblance to the original (I guess I should grateful that Wayne Northrup or Josh Taylor weren't available.)

Visilurking

And I can't believe you left out "Get a Life."

Man, I loved that show. And did Fox do Garry Shandling?

Hey. New board.

(should her show live that long, god forbid)

I'm totally the only one in the whole Buffista-land who isn't automatically convinced this show will suck, huh?

I mean, I'm not holding out much hope, but I don't think I hate JLH all that much - Can't Hardly Wait is one of my favorite guilty pleasure flicks - and, hey, talking to ghosts always has the potential, however slight, of being cool. I watched TWO shows last year about talking to strange things - God and, y'know, little fuzzy animals - and both of them were pretty great. I'm not immediately condemning of that premise.

What is even happening?

Oh, Deep Bitterness Society vs. the Anti-Bitter Squad, Redemptionistas vs. Evilistas, 'shippers for every possible pairing, Xander-fans, Willow-haters... Every possible opinion went to extremes.
I started lurking here, and a few other places in season 6, because so much of fandom was going down hil, so fast. *shudder*

Oh, and I'm sorry I missed that with Sami. That's hysterical. I'll have to ask mum and my aunt about that one, Strega.

They never brought Carrie back, did they. Tracy Middendorf (who was in Angel, episode 1:1) played Carrie Brady for a while, but Christie Clark was my favorite Carrie. I loved her with Patrick Muldoon's Austin--not so much with the other Austin.

Re: Boomtown. Does anyone know if the eps on DVD end up at anything like a good ending spot? I'm afraid to buy the DVDs and end up in the air and angry again.

What is even happening?

I think the One True Carly!! (Sarah Brown) is on one of the CSIs this year. Or maybe one of the Law & Orders. I disremember. They all look the same.
I STILL think she should have played Eve on Angel, season 5. She'd have been perfection.
That Sami thing reminds me of the last time Another World brought Marlie back -- instead of having Jensen Buchanan play her and Vicky, they brought in one of the previous Vicky/Marlie actresses and had her need plastic surgery.

Yes! I loved Jensen best, but I never watched when Anne Heche was Vicki/Marlie. Another bit of AW craziness was the whole Bobby Reno/Shane Roberts thing. That actor, Robert Kelker Kelly, was a substitute Bo Brady on DOOL. He actually did all right with the role, but Peter Reckel is the one true Bo Brady.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Bobby Reno/Shane Roberts

Oh that was crap! I mean, all I can remember is that it was crap. SoapNET has years to go before that comes up again.

Mostly I can't wait for Lindsey Lohan.

I called Allyson in a rage after the 50th time they complained about the script they picked being so badly written and not funny.

You know, I'm convinced they purposedly picked the absolute worst scripts for the sake of drama. Having to work w/ such rotten material must yield more entertaining TV than having to work w/, well, not rotten material.

And did Fox do Garry Shandling?

Sort of. "It's Garry Shandling's Show" was a Showtime show, but the reruns were "repurposed" for a time on FOX Sunday nights, back when anything was paired w/ "Married...with Children."

I'm totally the only one in the whole Buffista-land who isn't automatically convinced this show will suck, huh?

Listen, I don't poo-pooh the concept. You're a recent newlywed who chats w/ dead people? Hey, I'm there. But JLH...? I'm sorry, but I suffered through "Party of Five" (so I wouldn't have to deal w/ her anymore). I've done my time.

WROD, although I did not mind the actress who played Eve as much as others. But Sarah Brown would have been outstanding.

I watched all the way through that. Ben must have been an infant at the time. I don't think I ever quite understood any of it. And hadn't that actor played Steve, or someone else on the show, previously?
Mostly I can't wait for Lindsey Lohan.
Who did she play on AW?
