I thought I was just missing 2 or 3 episodes.
The episodes between 1 and 6 aren't megaimportant for the overall arc (there's a small storyline that resolves and doesn't get touched on overtly for the rest of the season), but most of us are sad that you missed out on episode 4, "The Wrath of Con," which has kind of a lame MOTW but is notable for its wonderful flashbacks that really give you a sense of what kind of friends Duncan and Lilly and Veronica and Logan were. It's only unfortunate that they skipped episode 8, "Like a Virgin," since it introduces Meg and Mac, two important recurring characters. I hope the previouslies are at least keeping the viewers apprised of the clues in the various mysteries. If not, there's always Mars Investigations.
It annoyed the crap outta me that Veronica could lay out all the details of how the crime went down at the end despite the audience not seeing HOW she came to those conclusions. Maybe I missed something early, but it seemed like she was just pulling stuff outta thin air.
That may be because you only saw the second half, though. The first half provided all the clues necessary for her to come to those conclusions. She eliminated suspects until only one was left, to whom evidence did in fact point.
I think I like The Inside more than I realize. I don't (yet) look forward to it with great anticipation, but I do find myself saying 'That was good" after every episode. So it's probably just a matter of time.
Dude! Tim needs to do a grass skirt pic.
totally.
Veronica Mars does nothing for me at all
I respect that it's not everyone's cuppa tea. it's seriously rivaling my Buffy love. sophomore season will be the show's ultimate test. if it's just as stellar then i think i have a new favorite.
where you a Farscape fan at all, Allyson?
And I hate that they're skipping so many of them or at least it seems that way from the previouslies.
this irritates me too. especially since UPN originally said they'd be airing all of the eps in order. if i didn't have seperation anxiety i would send people my set of burned dvds to catch up on the skipped episodes.
Me neither. I watched three or four eps, and then realized I had no interest in either the story or the characters.
this makes me sad. i feel the love for Veronica Mars that Allyson feels for The Inside.
They're totally doing that so people buy the DVD set.
definitely. even if they release it without the extras like they were discussing.
umm...on topic? i'm probably one of few people who really, really likes Rebecca. there's just something about her...
I think some sort of scene of Rebecca outside the office in the pilot would have gone a long way on the first impressions issue.
I didn't have enough suspension of disbelief in my arsenal for the muppets, Tiggy. Farscape was a no-go.

Perhaps eating Lucky Charms in her pretty pink kitchen with a great big drooly English Mastiff underfoot?
But would she have had a pretty pink kitchen yet? Maybe looking at apartments, finding one with a pretty pink kitchen, and saying, "Yes, this is perfect. Do you take dogs?"

understood. the muppets were so life-like that they never took me out of the story though. it took me a long time to give the show a try. i'm glad i finally buckled under the peer pressure because it's also at the top of my favorite tv shows list.

I can totally see the only thing Rebecca emotes with is a big, honkin' dog.
You're harshing my fantasy.

She should feed the dog human flesh.
Just cause.
