And Kevin Hooks is directing two episodes, so I'll use this a flimsy excuse to recount one of my favorite tv moments. Hooks' "The White Shadow" co-star Byron Stewart played the same character, Warren Coolidge, on "White Shadow" and "St.Elsewhere". WS guest star Eric Laneuville was a St. Elsewhere regular, too. When WS regular Timothy Van Patten (Mario 'Salami' Pettrino) guest starred on St. Elsewhere the elevator opened & the three WS alumni looked at each other before Coolidge yelled out "Salami!" Van Patten, somewhat taken aback, mutters, "Uh... I think you've got me confused with someone else." The elevator doors close. Meta-marvelous.
Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.
