[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

First post. I loved last night's episodes. I really wish those had been the pilot, minus the Web twist, since it wouldn't have worked that early in the season. They did a great job of setting up the characters and really giving them depth and drawing the viewer in. The scene in Dugan's and the emphasis on the comraderie of the team had a real Firefly feel to it, or at least I thought that's where they were going with it. I love the guy who played Billy Ray Pope, Casey Siemaszko. Not so much as a nut job or crook, though I thought he did a good job last night, but he was such a great geek in "3 O'Clock High". I'll always love him for that role and wish he'd get cast as the lovable loser more often. I'm sure I'm going crazy, but the voice of the dead girl on tape talking to the suicide hotline, I could have sworn it was Summer Glau. I wish I'd taped the episode. Can someone who did, give it another listen and tell me if I'm just some Firefly loser who sees Firefly in everything now?

if, if, if. And Oh, Lucky Man.
Tim said that quite a few pages back and can I just say that is an awesome out-of-the-blue reference. I love those movies. When I was younger I wanted to name my band Chocolate Sandwich.

Now that "Dancing with the Stars" is over do we still have to pretend Evander Holyfield can dance?..was that a for-all-time thing?

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I opened yesterday's local paper and found an AP article called "'The Inside' Characterized By Tim Minear". It was a very nice article with lots of Tom quotes. I, too, thought, "Ummm...a little late, aren't you?"

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

The week after next, The Inside is replaced with "So You Think You Can Dance?"

My rage has returned.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

That's a little tame for Fox. They'll have something like "I Wanna be a Dancing PopStar Bachlorette Extreme Makeover".

It'd be better if the losers were gored by a rhino in the back alley.

Seriously, why order any scripted series?

Tim, off to FX you go.

Even the most stable brain operates just a millimeter from madness.

The week after next, The Inside is replaced with "So You Think You Can Dance?"

I just told boardmember Nicklas, on ICQ, how I felt about this, using a not very kid-friendly expression (depending on kid, of course).

But. Is there any chanse this might lead to something that might be a positive for our show here? Next week is a 2-hour premiere, from 8pm to 10pm. So, if it's one hour the following week, and it becomes the lead-in to TI, then that could mean Something Good in the end. Right? Right?

Right..?

I hope that's what happens. I hope they don't pull it, put "When Dancers Attack Writers" on at 8, and The Inside on at 9, and let it run.

I think that was the original plan, anyway.

"Either it's murder, or this library has a very strict overdue policy."

Kid may vary indeed. We talked like that at the dinnertable when I grew up.

If they stick to the original plan, I' can live with that. If not and this actually replaces the Inside, then I'm 'napalm enema' on the furious-o-meter.

I think they're currently working on a reality show where C List celebrities try to ice skate.
