Can't any one of your damn little Scooby club at least try to remember that I hate you all?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I'll give gift cards at certain times. Christmas before youngest sister was moving to Virginia= Gift card for Target. Why on earth would I buy her something she's just going to have to pack?

Friend loses her job. Central Market gift card. She can get stuff as she needs it instead of a one time present.

Sister who is doing well with her acting and landed a job at a theater doing marketing. She gets Hindu finger puppets and a steak air freshener from Archie McPhee.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, my cat needs one of these:

Currently one of the hottest selling tourist mementos in the city is a little cardinal hat for cats that goes for $15 in stores such as Barbiconi, which specializes in clergy robes and accessories. Mahony’s cats both have cardinal hats, gifts given to him during his recent trip to Rome.

eta:

Pope Paul VI is said to have once dressed his cat in a feline version of cardinal robes.

move out and draw fire

Where I'm from, dollar bills are pinned to the bride's wedding dress during the dance part of the wedding.

I'm still seething about that fuckhead saying Rove should get a medal. I guess we better give Hal Nicholson and Aldrich Ames medals too.

They are also, OTOH, about a piece of paper my boss could just re-print from his own computer, as far as I can tell.

Does he have access to the emails? Why are you off today? See above: re skipping.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Beej, it's very common here in New Orleans. The groom gets money pinned to him, too. The money dance.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Money, in the form of checks, is ok for weddings.(My mom even got me a special purse to put cards/checks in at the reception) The dollar dance, or things similar. Not so much.(YCultureMV)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

From FoxNew's Jon Gibson, "Rove should get a medal". [link]

Heh. That was the gist of Stephen Colbert's piece last night.

I would be if I didn't find it amusing. They're parodying themselves and don't even see it. TDS, last night suggested a SCOTUS appointment for Rove as the only reward equal to this kind of screw up.

I'm finding it very endearing that Pope Pius XII had a goldfish named Gretchen.
