It does me. But other people were complaining that my low refresh rates were driving them nuts (they could see a flickering that my slow eyes can't). If I could have seen that, it might have given me a headache too.
From skimming the web, it seems my high refresh rate problem was that I was pushing the monitor's top limit, and that often results in a crap image.

Lower refresh rates give some people (like me) headaches.
I think 60hz is at the bottom end. 75hz is the minimum if you are susceptible to these headaches.
