Inara: So, explain to me again why Zoe wasn't in the dress? Mal: Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. 'Sides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. It's the whole... air-flow.

The evil is this way?

Apparently someone in Canada got the latest "Harry Potter" book early. I think someone in Vancouver should send me a copy of the book NOW. For research purposes -- to be sure it was really sold early and all that. Not because I want to read the book RIGHT THE HELL NOW or anything. (Not because I want to know if someone is killed. Or you know, if Oliver Wood is back, because I am hoping that Sean Biggerstaff will be in the movie of this book. I'm not that shallow. Much)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This is unbelievable. He had to replace his bat because it was starting to splinter. Up to 24 now. He hit one completely out of Comerica Park.

Not exactly a small ballpark either.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Not exactly a small ballpark either.

Nope. They say it went 517'.

Jason Bay had the misfortune to have to follow Abreu. He went 0-10.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We finally brought our proofs to the photographer to order the various wedding albums.(many of us were slackers, ok?) Two less things to pack and move....

Performance anxiety.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Dennis Quaid=Still pretty.

Good god, that man has one of the all-time greatest smiles EVAR.

Him and Scola, man. Making the ladies swoon with the killer smiles.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's not a smile. That's a hearty good natured grin.

t /hairsplitting

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, this is random, but a woman I know, but would not say I'm friends with, called me this evening to invite me to a dinner party with other misc. friends of hers. I can't decide if I want to go. I mean, new people. Could be good, could be weird. I don't have a better offer for that night. What do y'all think?

Opens up your dating pool. I say go.
