I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Chips on a buttered roll? Huh. That just sounds nasty to me.

Wow, that's practically a French Fry Poboy.

Must squelch urge to get French Fry Poboy for lunch.

Uhhhng.

See, I just can't put potato in a sandwich. I think I have very firm ideas about where potatos should go. They should not appear suddenly in spaghetti sauce, macaroni and cheese, on pizzas or stirfry (all of which manifested in the form of french fries. The czechs apparently like using it as filler.)

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Happy Birthday, Abby!

I always check World Market for foreign chocolates and other goodies. I don't know what comes from where, but I know what I like, and I like Areos.

I also buy the canned raviolis from England whenever I find them, but that's probably peculiar to me.

What is even happening?

Yeah, potatoes are so starchy, there's really no mixing them with other starches. It puts a whole new spin on redundancy.

I remember a girl in high school who used to dip her fries in mayo. That still perplexes me. Does anyone here do that?

DH likes mayo with his fries. In fact, when we had our cheeseburgers on Friday we both had a ketchup-mayo mixture for our fries. Yummy and decadent.

Someone told me in high school that that was a Belgian thing.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

raises hand

It's the norm in Europe (or at least in France and Belguim), and I still don't understand why it's never caught on here, given the extreme nastiness of ketchup and the utter perfection of the fry/mayo combination.

My roomate in Prague introduced me to the concept of mixing ketchup and mayo for fries. So if it is available, that's what I do.

move out and draw fire

I do, occasionally. More often mustard. I picked up the mayo habit from my DH, who picked in up from when he lived in Europe as a kid.

I could also rave all day about treats (soft drinks, candies, cookies, desserts)

Yes to this. My word.

See, that stuff about making GTA:San Andreas an adults-only game is just weird to me. Why is showing sex so much worse than showing murder? The M rating was just fine for GTA:Vice City, where as Jars mentioned you can hire, use, and then kill prostitutes...but since they only show the car rocking, it's okay.

I mean, I'm not planning on letting Mal play games like that until he's about 17, but that's their current rating, so I'm cool with it.
