Balance. And the boards I'm learning on (foam) aren't slippery. But it's about balance, and keeping your weight pressed against the board (mine whizzed out from right underneath me today, while I was just lying on it).
Conversations with my parents:
Mom: Well, 30 was a lifechanging year for me. I spent most of it pregnant with you and wow.
Dad: Oh that's right!
Mom: So did you just NOW figure out how that happened?
Dad: Oh shit, we did that several times last night!
(this is after being told that my parents were going off for a weekend in the mountain of "uninhibited sex." God love them, they do their best to warp me.)
I love guacamole.
I put lipstick on a marine. Then we got kicked out. Still, lipstick on a pretty marine!

To be fair, the first version was "uninhabited sex!" except dad had several glasses of wine in him.
