Shit's all sorts of different now.

I think people should tell me one thing (or more) that made them happy this weekend.

Watching Em watch the concert and fireworks with such rapt attention. And smiling fit to kill.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm sure it was, Jilli. Did you save some sparklers for me?

eta: yay for fireworks and cutiehead babies.

Martinis, Howl's Moving Castle, alone time with JZ, hearing about the defensive play Emmett made that made his coach go "Whoa."

I weeded out my tapes (both video and audio), filling up two boxes and making tons of room on my media shelves for my new DVDs! (Now I just have to tackle the bookcases in the dining room...) Oh, and I changed my sheets on my bed, and had fun with the cat playing peekaboo with the clean sheets and getting in the way before I could get the contour sheet on the mattress.

The status is NOT quo.

My migraine going away. (Yes, I'm very boring.)

Oh, and I cleaned my house. It made me feel productive.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My sister's birthday party on Friday, and the fireworks (from a 20th floor river-facing apartment -- best view I've ever had) last night.

Which building were you in, Jess?

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I think people should tell me one thing (or more) that made them happy this weekend.

I got to hold a musket (though not fire it), a piece of lead shot, and a powder horn, and learned the technique for starting a fire with flint and steel. SO COOL! And I understand how the firing mechanism on a flintlock gun works, though I'd have a hard time explaining it unless we were all in the same room and I had the gun to point at.

I'm going to be a re-enactor myself within 5 years, aren't I? I'm doomed.
