Frank, we're up to 88. Keep in mind I'm on the coast.
We haven't gone below 85 and humid in days.

Wow, amazing what a difference a hunderd miles or so makes. Also? Reconfirms my desire to move in no direction other than further north.
Weird that it's that warm in the northeast--I checked the forecast for Alabama today just to get an idea of how bad it's going to be next week, and it's mid-80's and thunderstorms as far as the eye can see. For Alabama in June that's downright chilly. Which is not to say that I'm not planning to swing by Costco or Target for some more shorts, or desperately looking for my sandals, which I haven't had cause to wear since last September.
Okay, I'm picture a dress with a full skirt...or is it more of a sheath?
It's a sheath - comes below the knee. The fabric is sheer, lined with cream lining. Inside the tag reads "Bob Bugnand for Sam Friedlander" - looks 1960's. I loves it!
There' s a tropical storm supposed to be hitting the Alabama coast on Sunday, Susan. I have found that that often cools things off a little.
whoot - in the things keep getting better file, the board meeting for tonight was cancelled.
having crappy day. Went to vintage clothing store and bought funky black fully lined dress that has harlaquin diamonds around the bodice and skirt and a pair of bright red chinese slippers.I'm having a crappy, dressless, slipperless day. I win. By losing. Yeah.

I'm barefoot in a pair of stained, cropped sweat pants. It's 88 degrees and muggy as hell. We have to go to Sam's Club to get stuff for a large cook out I volunteered to host on Saturday.
I'd rather crawl back into bed.
For those having crappy days - a funny David Sedaris piece in the New Yorker: [link]
