I think the effects of my not wearing a bra are much worse than not wearing underwear or wearing a bra that shows through. That being said, I don't wear a whole lot of white, mostly because I'm so freaking clumsy that it never stays white, and I look messy.

I have become all enamored of bleach and added quite a bit of white to my wardrobe. Even though I am not as tan as I used to be, I think it's a good color on me.

And yet, black shoes every day.

White doesn't do much for my complexion. My favorite drinks are brown and involve caffeine. I'm a clutze.

I'm kind of surprised I have any white shirts in my wardrobe at all.

One thing I'll never understand is those thongs that have pearls or diamantes instead of fabric up the back. Just, what? And also, ow.

hose usually smooth them enough for me that it works (and slips come in handy, too)

Aw. I don't remember the last time I wore either hose or a slip. I am slatternly!

And yet, black shoes every day.

I was just reading a thing where they said this character was color-blind, and that's why he was wearing brown shoes with his navy suit or something, and I was like, why on earth would he have brown shoes??! But then, I gave up on brown and navy shoes years ago due to matching issues.

I'm wearing olive shoes right now!

But ok, the default is black. I challenge myself to not wear black shoes.

The trick to non-black shoes is to convince yourself that all natural colors of cow are neutral. I have successfully added several shades of brown to my shoe closet this way, and then I moved on to "you can wear blue shoes when you're wearing a blue shirt," and other subtleties.

Slips are good. I believe in slips. Aside from the whole "one more layer between your x-ray vision and my butt" factor, there is the part where they are generally narrow, and thus much less likely to fly up around my ears when the wind is blowing.

I'm wearing blue sandals right now. Mostly because they're the only footware I own that doesn't rub against the itchy, sore welt left by the wasp sting I picked up last Friday.

But hey, they don't not go with the red (and blue, and black, and gold) gauzy skirt I'm wearing (with a long slip).
