Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. Not here.

It's a very small one - barely shows up on radar. We should be getting a bigger set of thunderstorms in a couple of hours.

Thrive to spite them

There's a huge nasty looking bug in the living room. It flies.

It's managed to get itself inside the top of the blinds.

I have no RAID or other insect killer. I don't know what it is. But I'm going to have to flush it out or something and then kill it.

See the silly San-Fransiscian; he knows nothing of thunderstorms.

Spray it with hairspray. Then at least it won't be able to fly.

eta: Try to hit it with the hairspray when it's flying, so you'll get the wings.

Yes, killing insects brings out the sadist in me.
