I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

In theory, chives are sun-loving plants. But the ones I grew up with were planted in a northern, shaded spot, and the ones on my deck probably don't see more than 4 hours of filtered light a day.

It's like a low-maintenance vegetal mindfuck.

Hee. Today the tomatoes, tomorrow the [geographic area of your choice].

hip deep in pie

I don't think so. My cat's noses aren't always wet.

I am going out by myself to see a band. I hope they've started by the time I get there.

Now tagless for your comfort.

In other wild-and-crazy-on-a-Saturday-night news, my cat's nose is dry. That's bad, right?

As long as it's not really hot, I think dry is ok.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

One of my two cat's noses are dry right now.

Also, two out of two of them don't really like getting their noses touched.

Additionally, ow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, thanks, y'all. His nose isn't overly hot, but maybe he's just a little dehydrated from the summerness of it all.

Have fun, Sue!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Well, I am going to try the tomato thing. I get enough sun that my herbs can either deal with staying wherever I plant them or mutate and grow legs.

my cat's nose is dry. That's bad, right?
It's only a sampling of one because the other cat is hiding, but puppycat's nose seems dry enough to me and she is healthy, if not exactly smrt. I tried to get a good feel of her nose though and she nipped at me. She's good with belly rubbing but apparently the nose is off-limits. She has strange limits. We are having a "No bites!" lesson right now.

My cat has thankfully given up on any boundary issues he might have. There's no stopping the Owenator when he wants to pet the kitty.

I once lived with a cat that would wake me up by very gently touching the tip of his nose to mine. Very cute.

But, yeah, as long as it isn't hot I don't think a dry kitty nose is necessarily a sign of a problem.

Funny -- touch the belly AT ALL, and my cat wants to fight. I have no problem clearing gunk out of his eyes, though.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The neighbors upstairs just got a cat, and I think they're feeding it amphetamines.

Hopefully, they're just catsitting.
