And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You know what? I have this horrible suspicion that it will be him or me in layoffs. Gonna SUCK.

Ugh. Would there be decent severage, anyway?

He'll get it. I won't. See, I'm a subcontractor. My company does it differently. We don't get severance, but we do get 2 weeks notice (as opposed to 2 days with limited account access) and supposedly the company actually tries to place us elsewhere. Not sure if we get paid in the placement period. I think there is some interval in which we don't, but still have benefits and all that. Not sure. Well, if I have to find out, I will.

Oof. Good luck.

And, of course, remember that sometimes Change Is Good.

What is even happening?

I hope you don't have to find out, unless you want to, sara.

I can't even.

Kill him now, reduce the competition.

Apparently there was a strong pro-noodling lobby. Until they passed the law, I had assumed that if a fish wandered into your hands, it was fair game. Not that I've ever noodled myself.

I have friends in Arkansas that wax poetic about the art of sticking your hands under the shady bank of a river to grab unsuspecting catfish. They say stuff like, only one in two or three times will you get ahold of something that will give you a nasty bite.

Kill him now, reduce the competition.

But I like him! He's been my officemate most of 8 years.

And as Jesse said, change can be good. Especially for me. I just don't like it.

Good luck, sarameg. With however it turns out.

Oh, I got that, I think I was caught up in the usual Natter zeitgeist. As a zombie, he'd be much less competition for you too. Goofiness aside (which is tough for me), I hope the job sitch works out well for you, stay or go (or zombification).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Best of the best, sara.

Yes, I just wished you Eric Roberts. What of it?

Aimée, where did you have the curry?
