Aw, sara, I'm sorry. That's a shocking way to find out.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I love how most of the Golden Age heroes had to have a specific weakness to let their foes overcome them. Kryptonite, magic, wood, being bound in chains by a man... I guess Captain Marvel's was to truant officers.

And probably the only way I would have, as I've lost touch with our mutual friends. Which is another thing but.... reading her obit, I found emails for them.

It's weird. I feel like I don't have a right to claim any sympathy. I only knew her a little. I can't imagine what A or S, who basically grew up with her, or her family must be going through.

But I'm glad to see she obviously touched lives.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That can be tough too, sara. One of the founding partners of this office dies from a brain tumor about a month after I got here. I never met him, but from all of the stories about him, I think I would have liked him. I couldn't claim any sympathy, either, obviously, but I was sorry I never got the chance to meet him, and I felt bad for the people who had.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

On Beauty & the Geek: Scarlet, Chuck and Richard are all dicks. I need a team I can root for.

Ayup, Perkins. Just...weird. A beloved physics prof died my sophomore year and while it was very upsetting to me personally, it really crushed some student who had known him longer. And that was weird too.

In easier questions to ponder, why was the ceiling above my bathroom sink dribbled with water and my sink mysteriously no longer plugged at all when I got home tonight?

I'm not sure which concerns me more: possible roof leak or violently puking sink.

B&tG: "What blows up a mountain during the day and down a mountain during the night." Now, I've never heard this. I have no idea. But my "guess" would have been "wind" since NOTHING ELSE BLOWS. Except Scarlet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

When people choke on this show, they choke bad. I'm starting to think it's fixed.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I vote puking sink, Sara. The chances that clean water is dripping from the ceiling seems higher than it eating you from your bottom.

Sorry to hear bout your friend.

I've been watching the Bones pilot, and it's not good. Just not.

Saw the ortho about my wrist again today. I was wondering if I needed to keep the appointment, since it's not twinged since Saturday, but then I reached down to take off my shoe when I got into the car and OUCH. The times it hurts: dressing, scratching back, shaking hands, high fives, lifting the laptop. The times I can avoid pain: krav.

I think there's a moral.
