Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey, Jesse, remember I said that Brad Pitt (and some Bono guy) wanted my help? This is what the TiVo promo was about. Seems George Clooney and Orlando Bloom also need me. Djimon! I'll be right there!

What is even happening?

They've got everyone on that One Campaign. A bunch of evangelists are supporting it, too. I do think it's wise to have Pitt, and Clooney front and center, no matter how much I might respect Billy Graham.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, I am all for that. Even if Brad and George didn't ask me personally.

And Nelson Mandela! Honestly, I'll do just about anything Nelson Mandela asks me to.

Well.... except, you know, kill someone. Though I'd probably give it some consideration.

Yeah, all my base are belong to Nelson.

I'm watching The Closer, and I'm enjoying it way too much when Kyra's character gets slapped down.

So, I am trying to see this current internship dealie as actually higher-level experience than I was expecting -- no one's really telling me what to do, so I have to figure it out, get meetings with the people I need information from, etc. -- but I'm lazy! And a little shy! And really really inclined just to hide in my office with you people all day. I guess that's not really the thing to do, though.

FINGER MONKEYS! They're so much cuter.

Wedding favors, IJS.

And should so, can I be invited?

Had a bizarro-twilight-zone-alien-invasion dream last night. It didn't end well. Wish I knew where my brain got its material. Because I'd get it new material.

God, if I had an office ...

But I don't. Just as well. I'm startled by the bits of my job that require proactiveness and initiative, because I'm convinced I have neither. However, when I'm interested in what I'm doing, I don't notice these things, and just do them.

I don't like diamonds, but this is cool. Looks like a diamond bracelet, but you push a button, and some of the diamonds change to red and tell the time.

That's really cool.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

And, relatedly (sorta), the gay penguins who raised a chick together now have a book about them:

Right, that's going on my Amazon wish list.

How about a casual boyfriend, one who's lots of fun, and always there when you call but not pining when you don't?

t starts humming 'Coin Operated Boy'

They hadn't known how they'd be able to do it, either, according to them, but each and every one of them says that they had learned to use their time better, to re-order their priorities.

I actually found it easier to manage both work and study after I was married. I simply find it easier to drum up the motivation when it feels like I'm not just doing it for myself.

To heck with a boyfriend, I want a wife.

And now I have a new title for my dating profile.
