Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

Always Anti-fascist!

Cool, Jesse. On the Lehaneness, and Love Train as processional. Want a Derek Strange movie more, though, being that my Greek literary boyfriend's books do not fill me with suicide-levels of misery by the time I'm done. Also, most bitchin' movie soundtracks, EVER.

I went clay-pigeon shooting once. I shot... 1 out of 50. There was not much in the way of helpful guidance, though, other than how not to accidentally shoot your partners. Felt odd carrying around a gun (Shotgun? I don't really know. There was, I'm going to say a barrel, could have been two, and I had to reload after every two shots.) Fun, though.

Been a few days. Congrats all around. I'm afraid to list, but new marriages, new houses, new jobs, and last days -- woo!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Shotgun.

Good. I almost said rifle, but that didn't seem right.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just went to Ikea to buy something for work, not realizing that they were having a sale today.

Please excuse me while I go hate people.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Please excuse me while I go hate people.

I don't think you need an excuse for that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's not a long distance gun.

Well, I figured I was using training wheels and shooting short. My instructor did demonstrate some stuff at 15 yards, but he was kinda showing off, I guess.

Ikea does encourage genocidal thoughts. I try and avoid at the not-worst of times.

I need to decide if I'm going to this beach volleyball thing. Of course, needing to decide means I'm probably not going. Its appeal is that I'll only know one person there, and I'll be on a beach in my swimsuit. The downside is that I have work to do, and the avoidance dance takes hours. Also, I kinda want to stay home and daydream about surfing and shooting. In fact, I want to go surfing again now.

A co-kravver broke his nose yesterday. Well, some other guy broke his nose, with a kick. Second time he's had it broken, and this time it's pretty messed up. He has a test today, which he showed up for anyway, all swole-faced. We're so broken on the inside, to never stay home. It's not like his nose is in further danger, but vigourous movement? Bound to hurt. People were oohhing over my black eye (still very colourful, a week later), and I'm like "Dude. Broken nose, ten o'clock." I'm still more dramatic to look at though, and will be until his swelling goes down and his black eyes set in.

It's nice you realize this.

eta: Which do you think you enjoyed more, ita, surfing, or shooting?

I thought it was the shooting, but it's surfing that's replaying itself right now. I think it's about how well I did. Or how much further I need to know to be decent. There are a million more cool things to learn to do with a handgun, and improvements to make on yesterday, but right now I just want to be able to stand up reliably on a surfboard.

One was satisfying, the other was tantalising, so it's hard to compare.

PEMBLETON: Do you think some people work harder at being stupid than others?
BAYLISS: I'm gonna go out on a limb and say yes. (that was for Perkins, not ita. Obviously.) ita, totally thought of you the other night, as I watched "Girlfight" and thought "What an ita movie..."
