Doesn't matter that we took him off that boat, Shepherd, it's the place he's going to live from now on.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Smoothies never fill me up, but that's me.

And I totally used to eat cold hot dogs when I was a kid.

I went out and managed to not buy ANYTHING at Target. But then I went to B&N to pick up a YA Julia Alvarez I saw in there a couple weeks back (and to read the foreword and intro to the Feynman's Letters book. Which made me all teary. Anyway.) I did get the book and then in the same section as the FL book was one titled "Kepler's Witch" which I HAD to get because just seeing the title made me all misty. See, I had a physics prof in college wheo was just...incredible. He was a large reason I went to that school. He died of cancer the spring of my sophmore year. One series of his lectures was titled "Was Kepler's mother a witch?"

So...yeah. Hopefully it will be interesting. Looks to be, as it is about the science, politics and religious whackiness swirling around him.

Somewhere around here, there is a picture of me standing on the statue of Kepler and Brahe near my tram stop in Prague.

But I really don't need more books. I have stacks overflowing shelves and I am SO BEHIND. So many unread books. It is sad.

Then I went grocery shopping and came home and started laundry and cooking. Freezer bag of maple-apple chicken thighs marinating in the freezer and a huge bowl of chicken salad made with granny smiths and honey roasted almonds. Mmmm. That and an apricot were dinner. Chicken salad on rye, yum!

Oh, msbelle, the guy I think should play Patrick Kenzie is on SVU on USA right now. Well, not this minute -- he's off with Munch. FYI.

In other completely random news, I saw a kid on my street with this awesome Batman bike today.

I cannot see your faux Patrick Kenzie because I am watching a show off my DVR and taping it to VHS, while also taping another show on the DVR. Poor thing can only do so much.

ION, I hate doing hand sewing repair work.

Well, if you ever see an old SVU, check him out. I don't think he was on the show for very long, though.

Yeppers. How hot is Ryan O'Reilly? And I just remembered to put holds on more Oz from the library, so maybe someday I'll even see the whole show.
