The doorknob to my building's back door came off in my hand tonight. I sort of jury-rigged it back together, but it's only going to work for people on their way out until a handyman does something to it. Apparently, the new tentants in apartment 7 must be gremlins—more maintenance issues have cropped up in the last two weeks than the preceeding 6 months.
In other news, salmon pizza is of the yuck, but is made up for by tasty bruschetta, calimari, and strawberries with carmelized sugar glaze.
We just bought tickets for our honeymoon. TO JAPAN.

YAY RIO!
I had wendy's for dinner. It wasn't that good. Edible, and nothing else in my apartment was.
I saw my first EVER condom commercial on network tv. During a rerun of Numbers.
This pisses me off immensely (that it is the first ever I've seen. Not that I need them. But that it came as a surprise to me after HOW MANY YEARS of HIV, herpes, etc.)
So I called my parents and had to explain to my dad why this was appalling. He was born in 1941. Totally different ballgame, goddamnit. I know more than they did and I think it scared them. But... goddamn. I turn 30 next month. This has been my reality. And yes, I've been paranoide-er than most, but still.
Oh, RIO, that's gonna be fabulous! How fun!

This reminds me...I was doing inventory yesterday at the school where I work. One of the things they have stocked in one of the cabinets is condoms. The kids aren't supposed to be having sex. But, they have the condoms to teach safe sex, etc., which I think is great. Only, they're in a LOCKED cabinet. So, the kids have to ask for them. Yeah, right! Not the smartest move, in my book.
Hi! Just stopped by to offer belated congratulations to Amych and the foxy new husband. I hope you live happily ever after!!! Can't find your email address, or I would have emailed you directly.
And VERY belated congratulations to Rio as well!!! May you and Saget be forever happy. And have a blast in Japan!!! I can't find your email address, either, so I didn't email you either.
When you break computers as often as I do, it is remarkably easy to lose email addresses forever. Hopefully my bad luck with computers is drawing to a close, though, because I just bought an insanely expensive iBook of my very own. If I break this one, the company isn't going to fix it!
Not much to update in my life. Me and the boyfriend are still very happy, but still no engagement. Though I did get diamonds for Valentine's Day, so he has a get out of jail free card for a few more months. He just started his own business, and it's going well, but things are still pretty tight money wise. Work is stressful and all consuming as per usual, I miss the good old days when I had way less to do at work and had time to hang out here. But I wouldn't want to go back to my old position, either, because my job now is much more interesting.
Oh, and PM- the baby is beautiful!!!! Sumi has been sending me links to the pictures. I was so relieved to see pictures of you both healthy and happy. Hope you are adjusting well to the no sleep world of parenting.
Hi everybody!
CV! Honey, I missed you! MWAH! (and my profile addy is good.)
Wooo! Sounds great Rio! Just learn from Gus' example and stay far, far away from the monkeys if you go to one of those hot springs resorts in the mountains.
Good to see you, CV!
