Awwww, msbelle thinks I'm cute.

And maybe I am crazy, but I don't think that the $11 for a movie is cheaper than running my a/c for 2 hours at home.
Well, yeah, but then you get the movie!
... I don't know. It just seems wrong. Of course, I also have the smoking/ventilation/window open issue, but my parents never run the AC in the daytime either.
I was going to say it's a product of my New England upbringing, but what is up with the Cindy? Anyway, there's more you can do to stay cool when you're awake. Like, go to the movies.
I hate the heat. Hate it. I want to give it to ita, and take the days that are too cool for her. I like it in the 60s. I am okay in the 70s. Eighties get on my nerves and if it is muggy, and it usually is, I suffer. Over 90, I hate it, even when it is not muggy.
I'd rather have a summer full of 60 degree days than 90 degree days.
I have 24 minutes left before I can leave work.
I think people should spend it telling me things that make them happy.
The pony that is sitting on my computer makes me happy. So does the thought that I soon I will be home, eating microwave popcorn for dinner and watching a movie.
eta: Oooh, now it's down to 21.
"Mad Hot Ballroom"
Stay through the credits! There are extra bits! They are funny!
What makes me happy: Remembering Emmett tumbling along the long trampoline during his circus camp show, and how he was the only kid in his group to jump and try to do the splits, and a little girl seated a couple of rows back said, "Oooh, lookit that boy!"
Also happy: Kavalier & Clay is waiting for me at home. I am not quite halfway through. All the goodness it's given me so far, I get to look forward to all over again plus a little extra.
Also happy: I petted a spaniel puppy this morning. It was very bouncy and happy with a grinny little face and unbelievably soft fur.
It also jumped at me so eagerly that it pulled its owner right off her feet, which lessened the happy and made me feel kind of guilty. Also worried, because even though it's a smallish spaniel (maybe a King Charles?) and probably won't ever get over 25 pounds at the very most, if it's knocking her down now she's in a world of trouble once it hits doggie adolescence.
Forgot to mention:
Also happy: going back and rereading the msbelle and Jesse and ita show from last night. That's some funny shit!
Yeah for happy!
I'm going to cheat, and pretend it's time to go.
Don't tell, okay?
Mooooooooooooooooooooom! Perkins is cutting out, early. She's a cheater, and a thief.
Mad Hot Ballroom? So amazing.
For me, like others, BB was entertaining enough but not the best movie I've seen this year. Or even this month. Or even this week. I did truly enjoy Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Just finished giving myself a manicure (=soaking off old fakes and putting on new ones.) They are pretty.
Depending on how cooperative (not) my a/c is, I might go see a movie this weekend. See, it has been working. But if the muggy gets too high, it kinda feebly struggles. $130 electric bill last month, whee. I'll replace the filter and put in another call (they haven't made a peep about my sink NOT DRAINING and it has been what? 2 weeks? Thank god the caustic chemicals mostly worked.) But no need to suffer the humidity if I can avoid it. Also, laundry, which means uncooled but in basement sketcholaundry room. Love my neighbor, but am tired of this shit (I really really really don't plan on telling her I'm leaving until it is a done deal, whenever that happens. Because I think she'll cry. I will too.)
After my mom met her, she said she (neighbor) has the kindest face. And she really does. And it is so full of life.
I also need to start plowing through books a little faster. The piles are growing!
